Description
This advanced course is aimed at learners who are confident with the Makaton Vocabulary and wish to deepen their signing skills and understanding of communication development. You will learn more complex signs and symbols, explore interpretation and translation skills, and learn how to embed Makaton effectively across various environments. The course also focuses on supporting individuals with more complex communication challenges. Previous experience using Makaton at an intermediate level (or equivalent) is required.

For anyone with an in-depth knowledge or previous expereince of Makaton . Build on existing knowledge and advance your skills.
What can I expect to learn?
By the end of the class you will be able to recall a number of signs on the chosen topic and use these to communicate effectively in a simple sentence. You will also learn how to use Makaton to support people with communication difficulties

This is a two hours session. The session will be interactive and tutor will guide you through the session to ensure that you achieve the course outcomes.

There might be a self-assessment / quiz or other activity iincluded within the course for you to gauge your achievement.
