This is a Level 2 course.

You also must have completed the Access to Data Management course prior to starting this one.

Who is the course for?
This course is for all learners wishing to improve their profiency in Data Management using Excel and Power BI to Level 2 standard.


What can I expect to learn?
Throughout this qualification, you’ll develop the practical skills needed to manage, analyse, and present data confidently using Excel and Power BI. You’ll learn how to organise and clean datasets, apply a range of formulas and functions, work with tables and charts, and use essential analytical tools. You’ll also create interactive dashboards in Power BI, learning how to transform raw data into meaningful insights that support decision-making. By the end of the course, you’ll have the digital and analytical foundations valued across a wide range of modern workplaces.

How will I learn?
The classroom based learning will be a mixture of demonstrations, discussions and lots of hands on practice using the devices in our IT suites. For the learners joining online, the sessions will be interactive with video and audio for tutor presentation and demonstration.The tutor will guide you through the sessions to ensure that you achieve the course outcomes. There will an experienced tutor to help and guide you at all times.


How will I know how well I am doing?
Your tutor will give feedback as appropriate throughout the course to help you gauge your progress. Feedback may be verbal or written. You will record your progress on an individual learning plan.

Will I have to do any work at home ?
Learners are expected to undertake homework tasks outside of the classroom to reinforce key concepts and maximise their learning experience

What will I need to provide?
You will need a notepad and pen for making notes. As a learner with us, you will have access to the online version of Office 365. If you are joining the course as an online learner, you will need a laptop, PC or tablet, with audio and webcam facility, internet connection and Google Chrome browser, an email address and be able to access websites. Notepad and pen for note taking.
