Description

A gentle introduction to managing money and shopping online. This course focuses on helping learners feel confident and in control when using trusted websites and apps. Everything is explained clearly and explored at a steady pace, with reassurance and practical guidance throughout.

Who is the course for?
Adults aged 19+ who are new to online banking or shopping, or who feel unsure about using these services safely. The course is ideal for learners who want to build confidence and independence when managing everyday online tasks.

What can I expect to learn?
You’ll learn how to use online banking and shopping websites in a safe and supported way. You’ll practise checking accounts, making payments, shopping online, and recognising when a website is secure. By the end of the course, you’ll feel more confident managing money and purchases online.

How will I learn?
The sessions will be interactive with video and audio for tutor presentation and demonstration.The tutor will guide you through the sessions to ensure that you achieve the course outcomes.

How will I know how well I am doing?
Your tutor will give feedback as appropriate throughout the course to help you gauge your progress. Feedback may be verbal or written. You will record your progress on an individual learning plan.

Will I have to do any work at home ?
No homework will be set but it is highly recommended that all new skills are put into practice outside of the class.

What will I need to provide?
You are welcome to bring your own device for this course. It would also be helpful to bring a notepad and pen for making notes.
